What I did when I started my first website was use a mass marketing service. The one I used was http://www.submissionmadesimple.com. It is a cheap way to get lots of traffic and it won’t use up your bandwidth and hurt your bounce rate because what happens is they use a cache of your website and it doesn’t hit your website as a unique visitor until they click around which shows they are interested. This is the best way I’ve found to get my site in front of thousands of people really fast. Didn’t hurt that I got a free ebook on Search Engine Optimization with it. Just my recommendation, there are lots of different opinions on this topic.

This is a great post, but how come you chose to do a “DoFollow” without a spam check? Do you not think you will get less spam with that?
